We’ve got you SURROUNDED…almost

let’s try this again!!!

So come out with your HANDS UP!

Get ready to get your groove on in a whole new fashion.

Yes, here at DJNaveE.com, I’ve always tried to ensure

of some pretty high sonic standards.

This time around, I’ve decided to up the ante quite a bit.

Not only instead of just making sure that I balance and master

the tracks to sound great on regular headphones and speaker systems

this time I’ve taken the added step to make sure that if you are

bangin these mixcasts on your surround sound system

you’ll get improved sonic quality

custom mastered for a 5.1 environment!

November Knockin Part 3 in Stereo

With the holidays rapidly approaching and with a ton of some new tracks

quite a few old ones, and a boat load of new software, it’s time to crunch out

some banging new mixes.

At the suggestion of a couple of fans who like the longer mixes

instead of the split ones that require you add them to a playlist,

I decided that it is time for a full length banger.

This one is on the electro, 8bit, and naturally minimalistic tip.

There are over 35 tracks spanning just short of 3 hours (by a few minutes).

Ann Nesby makes a revisit, this time in a slightly different fashion.

I’ve got some S Club 5  (yeah its ripped right out of the video game)

Kaskade and some of his new banging mashups make an appearance

Adam Beyer, Nicky Romero, Tommy Trash

the one and only Cajmere

Green Velvet

and a few new tracks that are unavailable, and heard here exclusively by

Fredda L (banging track absolutely banging)

Peter Pitzzutelli (you need to look this dude up)

Eddie Thoneick

Erick Deeks & Lauren Neko

Suzanne Vega (yes, AGAIN!)

brought up a really good oldie from iiO

Afrojack

Deniz Koyu

Christina Aguliera

Amy Winehouse

and the list goes on and on, and so do these beats.

This mix was done with a nice electro-minimalist vibe, and has some interesting presence.

It was so good, I had to embark on a new sonic mission I’ve had for over 10 years

I mastered this version of the mix to have regular stereo separation,

HOWEVER

in case you are one of those audiophiles, and you have an awesome system

or you just like to bang things out on your surround sound system

you might want to take a listen to the 5.1 mixdown version

that’s featured on the next posting!

With New Tech Comes….

This has definitely been an exciting and challenging year.

Artistically, technologically, and mentally.

With each new question or challenge,

there has been a lot of information that I needed to learn, and quite quickly.

Well, I am the type that never finishes one challenge and then relishes the break.

I dive head first into the next one.

Which brings me to my newest question or ponderance.

I have been toying with an idea and concept

musically and visually for about 10 years now.

I think that technology has finally caught up and the price has dropped

significantly so that average Joe’s can somewhat accomplish those things

on a shoestring budget.

May I recall your attention to the previous picture at the top of this post?

Yes, you saw it right, that is the infamous Double D.

Without giving away too much information, and insides on what that means here at

DJNaveE.com

I am wondering what you as listeners would like to see, or hear I should say.

There are a few different ways to incorporate the digital experience into a

conceptual mix, like the ones that I do here.

The question becomes, how best to deliver the experience.

Technically, and bandwith wise, I can post full AC3-DTS mixes here.

Is it practical? NO

Would it be a quick download? NO

Could your RSS feeder handle it? HAAA NO.

Would if fit on a CD? Yes and no…more on that later.

So given the only delivery method being DVD, the next question is…

what visuals do you think would be awesome with a DJ Nave E mixcast?

Yes, integrating visual elements with the mix, would only be a more

complex extension of what I already do, just in a new realm.

Yes, it does dramatically increase production time and delivery time

but it makes sure that everything is top notch and also worthy of your support.

I have a few ideas, I have a few samples.

I’m interested to know what YOU think.

I don’t get to hear from any of you my fans out there, so

take a moment, send me an email, or a comment on facebook.

I am completely open at this stage to embrace new things, and

I am surly hoping that you my listeners will be a part of this next step.

For starters, here are a few questions that I would like to see what you my listeners think.

Would you listen/download/own a mix that was rendered in Dolby Digital/DTS for playback on

your surround sound system?

Which format would you prefer to use: Electronic/Internet, DVD/CD, USB?

Would you be interested in audio only, or would a combination audio visual project be more appealing?

If you would like to see an audio visual project, please specify which medium format you would prefer.

Would you be interested in downloading/streaming mp3’s that have been rendered and recorded

in a Surround environment and then downmixed to MP3?

As you can tell, I’ve been assessing what I can do, and now that I’ve done it, I want to know

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Veterans Day Disc 2

With such a stellar beginning, how could I just end a disc like that?

How wrong of me I know, but then again, I’ve got the cure

DISC 2 is here with more of the madness!

Yeah more DJ Funk

More Sneak

and for this one…

BON JOVI!

I know, I lost my mind.

ENJOY!

Veterans Day 2011 Disc 1

Unfortunately, with the recent demise of the HCBD series of mixes

(R.I.P.)

and with the special day being 11-11-11

I had been mulling over this idea for quite some time.

I figured, why not make something a bit more fun than usual.

I wasn’t originally planning on making it for Veterans.

It doesn’t have much of a military theme to it either.

It’s just that it’s an unbridled let your hair down good time!

First off, this is the new mix as a result of the massive technology infusion of October.

The new lappy, new OS’es, and lots of other goodies have been tossed in.

With that, there has also been the massive procurement of music,

and a getting in touch with some old friends with some old goodies.

Where do I begin? I don’t know where I get these ideas, but for example…

who in a minimal mix throws in Nirvana?

ME

Jodeci? Wait wait, did I really type that…

YUP I dug up Jodeci!

CZR?

Me

Toss in some Danny Teneglia, Rosabel, Boris Rush,

This one is way to crazy to describe, and being spatially mixed for 5.1 enjoyment

Let’s say this one is audacious.  I hope you like it!

Diva’s revisited…

Happy Birthday Walter,

hope you had a chance to listen to it,

but you’re exclusivity reign ends here.

Ok back to the rest of the fans,

yeah, it was time to do something for the Divas!

You know we can’t leave them out of all the fun,

and besides, what’s better than listening to them work out!

Their vocal chords you perv!

Anyway, this one is chock full of surprises,

a couple new anthems and one or two from yesteryear

Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Ann Nesby (yes, I didn’t sutter either), not to mention Suzanne Palmer

Beyonce, Madonna,  even Amy Winehouse

and well, as always, you’ll just have to listen.

Cause dubbin’ is really MY game!

I’m bad, I know, but don’t worry, You’ll see an Ann Nesby VS RuPaul coming VERY SOON!

Until next time, yours in groove

Oldies yes OOOH soo goodies!!!

It’s been a wild and adventurous

month of September folks let me tell ya!

After a few system upgrades

and a few equipment failures,

BSOD’s, hard drive crashes,

and re-installation of Windows 7…

count it…..

7 times (who knew THAT’S what the 7 was for),

this latest beat foray is a continuation

of the Escaped From Da Basement series.

I figured I hadn’t updated it in a while and it was due for a new mix.

Besides, I had a few dusties

and well a few really good revisits

to some good old classics.

I’m a sucker for a good bootleg

and if it’s worthy of some good play,

I’m not beneath playing it!

Besides, these tracks only belong in a basement mix,

I mean we got Michael Jackson,

not only once but TWICE!!!

I got Newcleus, yeah, you read it right…Jam On It…

Toss in some Prince, Some Ralphi Rosario, A dash of Razor and Guido, and shake in some RuPaul for extra spice, spin at 132.6 bpm, and well…

This is what you got…take a listen!

05 Sep

AGAIN??? Yuppers!!!

Well, after a few listens in the real world,

after a few things I noticed and didn’t like,

I decided to do a little “tweakin”

Yeah, well, ya can’t let a good beat go.

So, just incase you were wondering about the quiet beginning

or it didn’t seem loud enough for you…this one’s fer YOU!

Re-eq’ed and that pesky last double reverse at the end ELIMINATED.

Give this one a wang…I’m sure you’re subs will thank you.

420 Bars of Bass??…YES!!…REALLY!

It’s amazing what a few long overdue

yet oh so timely upgrades can do.

Now that DJ Nave E’s productions

are now being handled by the

Zepplin Flyer (M. T. C.)

you can expect higher quality mixes

and finally the arrival of

ORIGINAL PRODUCTIONS

And that brings us to this little ditty.

After having a beat in my head for a few weeks,

I figured when better to try and bang it out than now?

There are 3 versions of it actually,

there is the Original Mix which clocks in at sensual 125bpm and 14 mins.

there is the club mix which is a modest 132 bpm and is 13 mins

But who am I? What am I known for? Insanely fast yet groovy beats…

SOOO

I bring to you the Jagged Up Mix!

Clocking in at 12 minutes and 10 seconds

at a whirlwind 138 bpm

I’ve got a hit out on your subs!

Can they keep up?

29 Aug

…line…SINKER!

That’s right, after a slow sensual progression “To The EDGE” of disc 1,

with the increased frenetic bass pulsing and pushing you “Over The EDGE” with disc 2,

it’s time to go for broke.

Go all out!

Balls out…

Balls to the walls, and this is where you’ve landed.

Smack dab in the middle of an acid house techno infused aural mele.

Speakerbox, Tick – Tock, just to name a few, I’m sure if you like it hard, unrelenting and deep…

“…To The WALLS!” is definitely for you.

Kicking the BPM meter up a notch or three,

this one is definitely for you.

Especially if you want it to pound

and HARD!

Thank me later.

Yours in Groove

DJ Nave E
