Wubbs N Dubs Xpress

After a bit of a busy June, it was time to venture back

into the creative space and pound out something new.

I realize without posting the entire month of June,

some of my loyal fans have been wonder what I’ve been up to.

With a plethora of new music being released and lots of gigs

it’s been a challenging time.

With two additional projects occupying my creative juices,

I decided to step away, clear the mind, and generate something

with a slight take on mashups.

I am sure that the track listing of this is going to make some

scratch their head in wonderment, so let’s just get right to it.

This go round, I decided to take a bigger step into the

Wubbs N Dubs Xpress category.

To give a bit of a definition to the category,

it comprises of some electro-fueled gems

from a few of different styles

and genres and slowly makes it way

into the flavor of the year…dubstep!

Hence the name “Wubbs n Dubs”.

Girlfriend bringing some wicked and different bass to melt your face!

Get your ticket, keep your hands and arms inside the train at all times.

It’s going to be a ride you won’t soon forget!

And as a little update…

are still in the pipeline.

But until next time, yours in Groove…

Atomic Smash

May has been a creative malestrom

visitations of mixes past

(Speed Racer, soon to be finished after all these years)

and in an in-flux of some killer tracks,

my creativity was tractor pulled in a direction

that I creatively avoid to venture into…

the land of gangsta rap!

However, there were quite a number of tracks

that just begged to be mixed together.

I couldn’t resist, the bass is ooh so luscious.

You’ve got the talents of:

Waka Flocka Feat. Drake

Merit Badge

Coming of a successful week of negotiations,

music procurement, and a new creative wave

it was time to take a moment out and celebrate.

Xander to the rescue! Insert long hard hitting night of fun

for some inspiration, and voila, here you have a new mix.

I decided to bring along a few old friends this time,

naturally mix them up with some new ones

and serve them up with a dash of perky attitude.

This quick little sonic bump is sure to get you moving.

Featuring the talents of :

Jennifer Lopez feat Pitbull

The Bucketheads

Coldplay

DJ Boris & Oscar G feat Tamara Wallace

JD Miller

Madonna with a nice throwback with a new twist

Danny Teneglia with Liz Torres

Funky Green Dogs with a refresh of a classic

Pet Shop Boys have two, with one closing out the disc

yet what fun would that be without some Outhere Brothers in between?

Another sonic mix as unrelenting as the day that it shares it’s name with.

Have you earned your merit badge?

Applications are still being accepted.

Cute N Fuzzy

You Know You Wanna Pet Him

You Know You Wanna Pet HIm

What’s the deal with the Audacious in the title I’m sure you’re wondering.

Humm, well let’s see what Dictionary.com has to say…

au·da·cious

[aw-dey-shuhs] adjective

1.

extremely bold or daring; recklessly brave; fearless.
2.

extremely original; without restriction to prior ideas; highly inventive.
3.

recklessly bold in defiance of convention, propriety, law, or the like; insolent; brazen.
4.

lively; unrestrained; uninhibited.
Let’s review, that definition in Point 1…check
Point 2…check
Point 3…check
Point 4…checkaroo
Well, with that being said, then it’s a matter of delivering the goods I guess.
If’ you’ve listened to me and my mixes,
you’ve come to understand one basic tenet…
even with my genre specific mixes, I never stay within the genre.
So this one is for the oft neglected “Beatology” series.
Where I focus on one specific style of beat or drum programming.
This installments lucky recipient is what I call….
Wubbs and Dubs Express
aka
Dubstep to others.
One reason I don’t particularly like using that classification, is because
it tends to run afoul with traditionalists and loyalists.
Since they are still arguing over what “real” dub is
this is just me getting my feet wet in a different pond
for craps and giggles.
Audacious I say?
So audacious that this not only is an update to the “Beatology” sereies
But it also serves to debut one of my alter-egos…
Say hello Ladies and Gents to

Blakkimus Prime

And how about this for a guest list…
Jonathon Peters kicks things off with some of
“It’s What You Like” B-Side
Not going to just let a groove like that ride out untouched
in comes Lolo to the rescue with some “Beat Medic”
Lil KeKe and Paul Wall and Bun B swing by and
“Chunk Up The Deuce”
Datsik swings by and drops some mad waves
Bassnectar
Metallica
Dr. Dre with some Still D.R.E Dub
Cookiemonster
Umbrella Corporation
Flux Pavilion
Denied
 Optimus
Nostalgia
Excision
Noiz
Don Diablo
Chrispy
And if you’re keeping count, that’s 17 songs, with a running time of 75 mins!
How’s that for a one shot?!!
For all you out there asking for it…
(ahem…CODY…)
well here it is, now you got it.
If you got comments, suggestions, feel free to leave a comment
send me an email
catch up to me on Facebook
where you’ll find info about the mixes in detail
songs I like
(soon to be featured
and general interest music).
Thanks to all my international listeners from
Australia, Ireland, France, and Russia.
Hey EuroLex…you got another one…

Diva Bunny

This new breed of Diva is bright eyed and bushy tailed....

Fresh off the heels of the wildly successful

“Out Like A Lamb”

Well it’s a new month, and time for a new Divas edition.

With Palm Sunday just passing, that marks the

1 year anniversary of the re-introduction of the popular

DIVA series of mixes.

A collection of new and old classic vocal floor thumpers.

Usually the mix focuses on established and respected Divas.

Although, times change, and so does the Diva of the moment.

With this mix, I took the time to showcase a few works from some

of my friends around the internet.

A couple up and coming artists that I know have some pretty amazing music floating around,

and I decided to help support them by featuring them in a new mix.

Isaiah Grass and Kyle Brylin make their debut

Please support unsigned artists, as both these two tracks and others are available

via iTunes and their websites.

This mix is scheduled to also be broadcast via WDMN 101 Internet Radio

during my 1 hour Sunday Night Radio Show @ 6pm CST.

Isaiah is up first with Pheremones

followed by Kyle with his steaming “Go Hard or Go Chrome”

I’ve been on this dude to tell his Reps to service that track and get some proper mixes.

I just used the standard album version and extended it in the right places to fit the mix better.

After that, it’s on to the Diva barrage.

Brandy takes the mic with a 90’s classic ripe with “Percolator” undertones

Kelly Clarkson shows us how to be “Stronger”

Gaga begs for us to “Marry The Night”

Natalia Kills teaches us what “Mirrors” are for

Nicole Scherzinger tells us to put it “Right There”

Selena Gomez shows us a bit of self image confidence with “Who Says”

ATFC decides to end things early by “Walk Away” with Lisa Shaw

But Junior Sanchez has different ideas, and suggests you “Feel It (At The Warehouse)”

While Vanguard along with The Ting Tings

suggests to any style jockies “Hang It Up”

With Easter around the corner,

Spring time in full swing

I figured putting a little bounce in your step

would help get you thru the day or help you get things done around the house.

Brought to you by DJ Nave E

and if this one is a bit to syrupy sweet for ya, make sure to check out

Audacious April Volume 2- The Cute N Fuzzy Edition

Out Like A Lamb

It’s amazing where inspiration can come from.

After spying a new advertisement on TV, I noticed this killer

little ditty of a tune. You know, the dubstep track

in the Internet Explorer commercials.

I had to know more, and I had to get my hands on that awesome track.

But naturally I couldn’t stop there, and well here’s the listing below:

In Like A Lion

In Like a Lion

March always being known for it stark dramatic

changes in weather temperature and also human mindset

As the end of winter fastly approaches,

thoughts of warm climates came to mind.

Well since this March is no different than any other,

with higher than average temperatures and winds to match,

I figured why not embody and

harness the essence of the King Of The Jungle.

Or should I say Tribal Jungle?

I almost called this the Mufasa mix.

This is one is a climber, it just goes up, up of into the stratosphere.

Hate on me now, but I included Al Green.

Yes, I did say Al Green, and for good measure,

Crystal Waters closes out the set.

Yes, she’s back and I can’t wait for the rest of her new stuff to come out.

Careful though, this mix clocks in at 139BPM and at 2 hrs?

As the intro states, Warning, heading 29-0!

If you don’t know me by now,

you’ll quickly learn, I can’t let a good groove get away from me.

Coming fresh off the heels of a successful broadcast

with the first installment for WDMN 101 Radio,

the 1hr time limit just wasn’t enough.

SO, what’s a DJ to do?

Pick up where you left off, and up the ante.

Go on an all out tribal assault, dropping bombs!

There’s a few homages in here,

including a nice 6 track 4 table Rauhofer workout.

Fergie picks up the mix where it was left off and ushers in the assault!
