Da Twerk Bomb

Da Twerk Bomb

Whew…this has ALREADY been a busy 2014.

Well, just in case you thought I was sleeping…

WAKE UP!

I’ve been quite busy.

Welcome to da TWERK BOMB.

Closing the B O M Bs series for the moment.

This one is designed for my hip-hop/trap fans.

Since I was on a roll, why not take advantage of the amount of new music.

I was quite surprised by the people making new and QUALITY music.

Needless to say it came from some artists I least expected.

I am departing from not naming names…

but…you won’t believe that this mix has

Beatology Book 3

Back 2 Form

Beatology Book 3 – Back 2 Form

July is definitely delivering on it’s reputation.

It’s known for being a scorcher!

Well with the release of Wubbs N Dubs Xpress

it was time to venture back into familiar territory.

What better way to do that than to write the next chapter

in the Beatology Series.

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a proper one.

Not only that, I figured why not take the three songs that I’ve created

and throw those into the mix, just for grins and giggles!

Yes, that means 420 Bars of Bass

4th of July Banger

and This Is True Bass are included!

Normally that would be enough for any bass hungry fiend,

but why stop there?

I had to throw in an additional 14 tracks!

A- Brothers

Oliver Ho

Popof

Sebastien Leger

Menace

Andre Winter

Claudio PRC

Format B

Matt Minimal

Oscar de Rivera

Kylie Minogue shows up again!

Mas Teevah

Martin Sloveig

as well as RAM

With such a well rounded list of talent, how can you go wrong?

You can’t!!

You know how I do…

Atomic Smash

May has been a creative malestrom

visitations of mixes past

(Speed Racer, soon to be finished after all these years)

and in an in-flux of some killer tracks,

my creativity was tractor pulled in a direction

that I creatively avoid to venture into…

the land of gangsta rap!

However, there were quite a number of tracks

that just begged to be mixed together.

I couldn’t resist, the bass is ooh so luscious.

You’ve got the talents of:

Waka Flocka Feat. Drake

Jay Z and Kanye West

Nicki Minaj

R. Kelly ft. Ludacris

Twista

Busta Rhymes Feat Chris Brown

Ludacris

Future Featuring R. Kelly

Diggy Feat. Jadakiss

Krizz Kaliko Feat Twista and Tech N9ne

Twista swings thru for yet another heater

And this wouldn’t be a DJ Nave E mix if I just for fun

have to switch gears and voila drop some

Bare & Datsik

T-Pain & Soldja Boy

D – Jahsta

Excision & Datsik

and newcomer Awolnation closes out the disc.

Talk about a thrill ride for your subs,

this one is definitely going to leave a mark!

Let these atomic bombs collide,

just make sure you’ve got alternate shelter.

You Know You Wanna Pet Him

You Know You Wanna Pet HIm

What’s the deal with the Audacious in the title I’m sure you’re wondering.

Humm, well let’s see what Dictionary.com has to say…

au·da·cious

[aw-dey-shuhs] adjective

1.

extremely bold or daring; recklessly brave; fearless.
2.

extremely original; without restriction to prior ideas; highly inventive.
3.

recklessly bold in defiance of convention, propriety, law, or the like; insolent; brazen.
4.

lively; unrestrained; uninhibited.
Let’s review, that definition in Point 1…check
Point 2…check
Point 3…check
Point 4…checkaroo
Well, with that being said, then it’s a matter of delivering the goods I guess.
If’ you’ve listened to me and my mixes,
you’ve come to understand one basic tenet…
even with my genre specific mixes, I never stay within the genre.
So this one is for the oft neglected “Beatology” series.
Where I focus on one specific style of beat or drum programming.
This installments lucky recipient is what I call….
Wubbs and Dubs Express
aka
Dubstep to others.
One reason I don’t particularly like using that classification, is because
it tends to run afoul with traditionalists and loyalists.
Since they are still arguing over what “real” dub is
this is just me getting my feet wet in a different pond
for craps and giggles.
Audacious I say?
So audacious that this not only is an update to the “Beatology” sereies
But it also serves to debut one of my alter-egos…
Say hello Ladies and Gents to

Blakkimus Prime

And how about this for a guest list…
Jonathon Peters kicks things off with some of
“It’s What You Like” B-Side
Not going to just let a groove like that ride out untouched
in comes Lolo to the rescue with some “Beat Medic”
Lil KeKe and Paul Wall and Bun B swing by and
“Chunk Up The Deuce”
Datsik swings by and drops some mad waves
Bassnectar
Metallica
Dr. Dre with some Still D.R.E Dub
Cookiemonster
Umbrella Corporation
Flux Pavilion
Denied
 Optimus
Nostalgia
Excision
Noiz
Don Diablo
Chrispy
And if you’re keeping count, that’s 17 songs, with a running time of 75 mins!
How’s that for a one shot?!!
For all you out there asking for it…
(ahem…CODY…)
well here it is, now you got it.
If you got comments, suggestions, feel free to leave a comment
send me an email
catch up to me on Facebook
where you’ll find info about the mixes in detail
songs I like
(soon to be featured
and general interest music).
Thanks to all my international listeners from
Australia, Ireland, France, and Russia.
Hey EuroLex…you got another one…

January Jump Off Workout Edition

What can I say?

I’m a sucker for a challenge.

Mr. Ellingsworth and his ideas.

Sooner or later, one of these days, one of us is gonna get killed!

LOL

What amount of craziness can I cram into one mix?

Well, we already know the answer to that one.

But how about this…40 tracks, 2 hours.

And yes folks that’s a legit 40 tracks, every one of them plays

Dare ya to figure out where they all are though.

Doing mix tapes for a personal trainer was one of my

first paying gigs back in the late 90’s

so when the challenge came to come up with a running

mix with some dubstep and a faster bpm than I usually mix

I couldn’t resist the challenge!

And I even threw in a personal challenge to myself.

Run 4 tables, not intermittently, but CONTINUOUSLY!

There are brief moments where less than 4 songs are playing at once,

but that’s the exception, not the norm this time!

So Meet Me At The Love Parade!

Get ready to go for the burn, cause this disc is ON FIRE!

Did you catch that line up? Yeah, we’re going from 142 to 74 back up to 142

Please be careful if you ACTUALLY plan on working out with this mix.

It’s unrelenting from about the 10 minute mark till the 1hr 20 minute mark.

There are very few breaks, dips or pauses.  Please consult your physician if

you plan on starting a new workout regimen, and by all means work smart

not hard!

BEAT THIS!

Beatology Book Of Beats Volume 2:

BEAT THIS!

I dare you.

Took a few weeks off,

saw some sights,

heard some sounds,

time to get back to work!

I’m sure, once you’re done listening to it, you’ll feel like you’ve done the same.

ENJOY, I know I did.

Beatology: The Book of Beats Volume 1

This RIGHT HERE is definitive SWAGG!

Underground and Progressive

Minimal Techno

Classic Chicago Underground

All with a new spin, that only DJ Nave E can bring.

I had an idea, and a hankering for something really hard deep, kinda dark, warehouse style reminiscent of when clubbing used to be FUN, not over-pretentious.

The time when you didn’t get dressed up in an Armani suit to go out, because you would have sweated it out so badly no dry cleaner would have been able to save it.

Your hair was a mess, your make-up was non-existent, you lost your voice hours ago, your legs hurt, your ears rang, but you had a grin plastered on your face that stayed for at least a day.

This banger will definitely take you back to Glee Club, SoundFactory, Medusa’s, Vortex…places where beats mattered, and nothing else did.

You brought all your cares, worries, and stress to the dance floor cause somehow by nights end, everything would be all right.

Naturally, what’s a DJ Nave E mix without a classic throwback banger, well in this one, you get not just one, not just two, you get 4.  Two are easy to spot, I hid the other two, so in the words of Eric Clapton…”See if you can spot this one”

A precautionary warning, yes as always, be mindful of the bass, cause it’s off the meter, and you might want to watch out around the 28-35 minute mark.

You might want to pop an Advil or two now, your neck will thank you later.

So without further adieu, bang on!

Feel free to hit me up via email, FaceBook, MySpace, let me know what you think.

Comments are always appreciated. If you got any suggestions or requests (thematic related not necessarily specific songs), don’t hesitate to drop a note.

This IS a new series concept, so in the words of Johnny Carson, “More to Come”. BeatDown series fans, fret not, there’s another new installment there as well as more Divas.

So get ready!

It’s gonna be a BANGIN summer!

Bring a friend.
